Master thesis on pollination conservation

03.10.2025, Abschlussarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten

We collected data from a survey on wild bee nutrition among different stakeholders across many european countries. The thesis would focus on analyzing part of the questions refering to flower choice in seed mixtures by different stakeholders. The thesis has therefore a strong data science (data wrangling) component and would require you to work interdisciplinary between topics more related to the biology of the species and topics more related to social sciences. Environmental or sustainability sciences students willing to dig deeper into biology of bees and flowers are welcome.

Important information:
- The thesis can be done remotely with regular mandatory update meetings, or in Freising campus.
- This is a data wrangling and science thesis. You are expected to use R Software or similar independently for statistical analysis. We can support you in this learning process.
- Monthly student meetings (hybrid) are mandatory.
- A written expose is mandatory before registering the thesis.
- A final written report and oral presentation are mandatory for obtaining a grade.
