Geometric parameter study of different agitators in biogas fer- menters by CFD Simulation

A CFD Study of three different agitators in biogas plants has to be carried out. The effect of different installation angles on the mixed area and velocity distribution should be analyzed. Additionally various combinations of agitators in the fermenter should be analyzed aiming for the optimum setup. Due to the high computing requirements these calculations will be carried out on the LRZ Linux cluster (HPC – High performance computing)
