Bachelor and Master Thesis in Forestry

30.11.2024, Diplomarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten

Are you interested in working in forest diversity and better understanding the effects of land use? Then here is a thesis for you.

We collected insects from forests in a range of land use intensity, using window traps and collecting directly from the bark. We also have complementary data on pitfall traps from previous years. The thesis would be focus on discovering this insect diversity and better understanding the role of environmental factors, such as land use intensity, but also forest canopy and composition on forest diversity. There is the possibility to also use GIS tools to use additional data on the forests obtained by remote sensing. This is an unpaid thesis for students from TUM or LMU.
If you are interested, please send a motivation letter and CV to: Dr. Alejandra Parreno, alejandra.parreno@tum.de
