Stress as a moderator of perceived difficulty of healthy cooking on healthy at-home cooking and eating-related subjective wellbeing
15.08.2024, Abschlussarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten
Are you interested in health and food research? The Chair of Sport and Health Management offers students the possibility for interdisciplinary research (i.e., write a bachelor or master thesis). The topic is: "Stress as a moderator of perceived difficulty of healthy cooking on healthy at-home cooking and eating-related subjective wellbeing".
The goal of the thesis is to examine whether today’s habits of healthy and unhealthy shopping and cooking practices are outcomes of intergenerational transmission and childhood memories when going shopping and when parents cooked at home. By exploring the connection individuals have with their primary caretakers, the thesis aims to gain a clearer understanding of the dynamics involved in establishing healthy and unhealthy food shopping and cooking behaviors. Qualitative research will be applied to uncover the potential of passing down within family members. Implications for food marketing, individual and family health promotion as well as public policy making can be drawn upon the findings of the thesis.
