Master thesis in Infection Biology: Developing a platform to test porcine CAR T therapy

The chair of Infection Pathogenesis (Prof. Friederike Ebner) together with Dr. habil. Tatiana Flisikowski is seeking a highly motivated Master's student with a life science background to join our research team located @Campus Weihenstephan. The student will work on a project that aims to implement Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) engineering to produce pig anti-tumour and/or anti-pathogen T cells and test their functional capacity.
We expect a high level of motivation and a strong interest in immunology and cell biology. Extensive wet lab experience is of advantage. The student will perform experiments with primary immune cells, analyze and interpret data and will be trained for cell culture methods, flow cytometry and microscopy.
