Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas simulation in Hamburg using WRF-chem Model (BA/MA)

The goal of the thesis is to use the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) to simulate the meteorological and concertation fields in Hamburg. This task will be accompanied to our Hamburg measurement campaign on August 2021. In combination with the concentration measurements, a clearer insight of emissions in Hamburg can be obtained.

The tasks will include:
1) WRF Pre-processing: Design domains for Hamburg;
2) WRF Running: Understand and run WRF simulation in Linux Environment;
3) WRF post-processing: Visualize the model results and compare the simulations basic to other measurements;
Your preferable skills and background are:
- Experience with R, Matlab, and LINUX operative system and modelling
- High computational skills
- Motivation and interest in modeling atmospheric environment
