Tutor Position: Advanced Topics of Software Engineering

The Chair of Information System Development and Operation is looking for a tutor for the upcoming semester of the Advanced Topics of Software Engineering course.

Advanced Topics of Software Engineering is a mandatory course in the Master's programme in Information Systems and Automotive Software Engineering and an elective course for students from various programmes, such as Bioinformatics, Aerospace, and Politics & Technology.

Given the diverse backgrounds and skills of the students, the course combines a broad range of theoretical and practical topics. The practical component of the course is delivered through the ASE Central Exercise , where students apply the theoretical knowledge from the lectures through quizzes, applied exercises, and a practical software project.

This diversity of backgrounds and skills also creates several teaching challenges, as students with different levels and areas of prior knowledge require different levels of support and bring different practical skills. A task that is straightforward for one student may be challenging for another. Supporting a large number of students with such different needs makes this particularly challenging.

Working on the course will help you deepen your understanding of software engineering from both theoretical and practical perspectives, strengthen your practical software engineering skills, and develop your communication and mentoring skills by supporting students in their learning and helping them develop practical skills.

As part of the chair's team, you will also develop your presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about the topic and interested in supporting other students!

Position period: 12 October to 31 March
Working hours: 6 hours per week
