Institute of Experimental Haematology is looking for student assistant for mouse caring tasks

Student Assistant (Hiwi), mouse caring tasks

Our working group is part of the Center for Translational Cancer Research (TranslaTUM) at the Klinikum rechts der Isar. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a student assistant for 7hours a week.

Requirements:
• Experience in working with model animals (especially mice) is an advantage but not a requirement
• Independent work, flexibility, reliability, commitment
• The certificate for laboratory animal science can be obtained before starting work and is financed by our working group
• Knowledge of English is desirable, as our work group is international
• Enrolled student at a university in and around Munich
• Seeking applicants who can commit for at least one year of work (enrolled as a student)
• Available from 01.08.2026
Tasks:
• Support for work in animal husbandry (in particular: management of the cage quota, mating, weaning and ear piercing of young animals)
• Documentation in the online system and communication of the results to colleagues
