Student assistant (m/f/d) — Foundational Model for Therapeutic Peptides

We are looking for students interested in a Master's Thesis or a Working Student position focused on generative AI for drug design (especially on therapeutic peptides).
This is a 1-year project aimed at producing publishable research, with the goal of submission to top machine learning conferences and Journals (such as ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, Science, Nature, Cell). This project will be supervised by Research Assistant Serra Korkmaz and PhD student Pankhil Gawade.
We welcome students with a background in computer science or bioinformatics who are motivated to work on rigorous, theory-driven applied machine learning research.
Your profile should include:
• Master’s student in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field
• Strong programming skills and practical experience in Machine learning and Deep learning (implementing and evaluating models in PyTorch and running experiments on a remote high-performance computing (HPC) cluster)
• Applicants should be comfortable with Python
• Experience with software engineering practices such as version control, testing, and documentation
• Structured, independent, and reliable way of working
