Student Assistant (HIWI) – Teaching and Course Coordination Assistant

Your Tasks
- Maintain, update, and continuously improve course materials, including Jupyter and Google Colab notebooks, Python code, lecture slides, exercise sheets, etc
- Select, adapt, and prepare practical exercises (e.g. Jupyter Notebooks) as well as prepare course GitHub repositories for each teaching iteration
- Support the coordination of pre-course and post-course activities, including surveys, requirements management and logistical preparation
- Contribute to the development of new digital learning content (notebooks, short videos, etc), particularly on topics such as Explainable AI, Dimensionality Reduction, Transformers, and emerging AI methods
Your Profile
- Enrolled at a German university, with regular on-site availability at Helmholtz Munich
- Strong organizational skills with a structured and reliable way of working, and the ability to support course logistics independently
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning and AI fundamentals
- Basic programming skills in Python and experience working with Jupyter Notebooks and GitHub
- Interest in supporting teaching activities and developing digital learning content
- Clear and professional communication skills in English
- Experience in digital content creation, including video editing for educational material development, is a plus
