For the TUM School of Management at the Heilbronn Data Science Center, TUM Campus Heilbronn, we are looking for a Student Assistant (m/w/d) to support us with research and teaching activities for 8-20 hours per week

WANTED! For the TUM School of Management at the Heilbronn Data Science Center, TUM Campus Heilbronn, we are looking for a Student Assistant (m/w/d) to support us with research and teaching activities for 8-20 hours per week Your profile • A strong interest in areas related to management, business, or AI and machine learning • Experience in extracting, cleaning and analyzing data (e.g. business research databases, websites) using scientific methods • Experience in programming and developing software packages (e.g., C++, Python, Julia) • Experience in conceptualization, publishing, and documentation of (opensource) code environments is ad-vantageous • Further experience or interest in the following is advantageous: o Manufacturing: 1) Optimization modeling; 2) Scheduling; 3) Developing simulation environments o Marketing: 1) Digital content analysis; 2) incorporating programming languages to tailor experimental setups o Transportation and Smart Cities: 1) Spatial-Temporal Deep Learning and AI (PyTorch), 2) Large Language Model • Experience in data storage and management • Strong communication skills in English • Very good organizational skills • Enthusiasm for algorithm design and innovative empirical research • Speaking German is an asset, but not required We offer • A friendly work environment that fosters your personal and professional development • Interesting and diverse tasks • Flexible working hours • An international work environment Application Process We look forward to receiving your detailed application (cover letter, CV, academic transcripts, and references, if available) by October 30, 2025, via email to jobs.udsm@tum.de, with the subject line: “Data Science Student Assistant”.
