■ Familiarity with integrating APIs or AI/LLM services (e.g., OpenAI API)

■ Familiarity with server/cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines

■ Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centered development

■ Interest in digital healthcare, medical AI applications, or human-computer interaction

■ Agile mindset

Key Responsibilities and Your Tasks

■ Design and implement intuitive web-based interfaces for patients, physicians and data scientists.

■ Design and implement innovative visual elements such as tracing of AI-generated answers to sources in original PDF documents

■ Integrate existing LLM-based back-end services for information retrieval and fact checking

■ Meet data security, privacy and scalability requirements

Application Requirements

■ Enrollment at TUM, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields

■ Previous experience in web development (e.g., coursework, working positions, personal projects, GitHub portfolio)

We offer flexible working hours (approx. 10-20 hours/week) as part of a working student (HiWi) contract, the opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary and high-impact research project helping improve cancer patient treatment, and the potential for involvement in academic publications or user studies. There is also the potential to further develop this work into a Master's thesis or Guided Research Project in coordination with the research team.
