StudyPlanner is hiring: opening for student position

The StudyPlanner (https://studyplanner.co.cit.tum.de), is a web application that assists students in planning their courses for the upcoming semesters until the end of their studies. We currently have openings for a student position to further develop the StudyPlanner.

Dear students, As you probably know, at CIT we now have the StudyPlanner (https://studyplanner.co.cit.tum.de), which is a web application that assists students in planning their courses for the upcoming semesters until the end of their studies.

We currently have openings for a student position to further develop the StudyPlanner.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • First-hand experience in software development and optimization
  • Bring your theoretical knowledge into practice
  • Develop a tool that is useful for all your fellow students
  • Learn new skills that will help you in the future
  • A student position for 8-9hrs/week (exact working time is negotiable) until the end of December 2025 (can potentially be extended)
  • Flexible working hours as part of a small team

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Knowledge of integer programming and integer programming models
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with the Flask web framework or willingness to learn it
  • Being able to work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with MIP solver software is a plus

We want to fill the positions as soon as possible; the earlier you apply, the better. In your application, please include

  • Your CV
  • Information on your study program (which program, which semester)
  • Your current transcript of records
  • Which courses you are taking this semester
  • Why you apply for the position
  • How well you know integer programming, Git, Python, and Flask
  • If possible, references or projects you have already worked on
