Student Assistant (Studentische Hilfskraft)

The IEAI builds upon the Technical University of Munich’s strategy for “Human-Centered Engineering” by bringing scientists from the technical and social sciences together to conduct research on cutting-edge problems related to the responsible implementation of AI.

alignAI is an EU-funded research project dedicated to aligning Large Language Models (LLMs) with human values for ethical AI development. It unites 17 doctoral researchers to study explainability and fairness in areas like education, mental health, and online news, developing practical tools to make AI more transparent and equitable.

Position Details
• Start - End: Ideally April 2025 – October 2025
• Hours: 8–12 hours per week (negotiable)
• Location: Must be enrolled at a university in Munich

Your Profile
We are looking for students with:
• Video production skills – experience with shooting, editing, and post-production (Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or free video editing software is a plus)
• Creative digital communication skills – ability to create visually engaging content for research communication
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital storytelling
• High motivation, diligence and independence
• Strong English skills required (German is a plus)
• Enrollment at a university in Munich
Your Tasks
• Filming and editing video interviews with researchers and experts
• Enhancing visual communication for alignAI, including graphics and multimedia content
• Assisting in the creation of engaging digital materials for social media and the alignAI website
• Supporting other communication and research-related activities as needed
