14.02.2025, Studentische Hilfskräfte, Praktikantenstellen, Studienarbeiten
The BugSense project is developing a paper-based test to detect infections and antibiotic resistance in a single step. The most prominent use case is urinary tract infections, which affect over 152 million people worldwide. However, filtration of urine samples is crucial to achieving trustworthy diagnostics. Toward this goal, we have built a filtration device enabling future diagnostics. We need you and your software expertise to achieve our goal fully!
What awaits you?
You are applying your state-of-the-art knowledge to projects with real-world impact.
In addition, you research, design, implement and test the functionality of the filtration device.
Furthermore, you work with an interdisciplinary team of experts.
You have an opportunity to expand your knowledge in other fields, such as computer vision, data science, and machine learning.
What should you bring along?
Strong practical experience in Python and C++
Good theoretical and practical knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, etc.)
Knowledge of control theory is advantageous.
Experience in modern software development and tools (Git, IDEs, Linux Bash)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Very good English and/or German language skills
