Background

The TUM Green Offices are student-led offices, supported by the central TUM Sustainability Office, and play an important role in the sustainable transformation of TUM. With the TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy, TUM is committed to a holistic approach to sustainable action and has identified concrete implementation projects with a strong focus on our campuses. In 2018, the first Green Office was established at the Straubing Campus, followed by the second Green Office at the Weihenstephan Campus in 2021. In the WS 24/25 we will open two more Green Offices at the Garching and Munich Campus.

The main goal of the Green Offices is to raise awareness for sustainability among students and empower them to become agents of change within the university. For this purpose, the Green Offices organize and implement different projects, such as “TUM Bee Paradise” or the raised beds together with the initiative “Plant a Seed”. Other projects are clothes, books, plant swaps, or the Sustainable Dinner. New projects are always welcome! Now, it is up to you to become part of the Green Office Munich and support us with the sustainable transformation of our university!
