In the Neuromorphic Computing department, we search for a new team member:

Master Thesis (m/f/d) – Reinforcement learning for robotic arm object insertion

Your tasks:

• Train and test reinforcement algorithms for object insertion in simulation
• Port the solution from simulation to real robotic arm
• Integration of the inference process on a neuromorphic chip
• Participate in the elaboration of a demonstrator
• Evaluate the performance of the demonstrator

Your profile:

• Excellent bachelor degree in informatics, mechanical or electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics
• Excellent track record in your current master
• Experience in machine learning in Python, the deep learning packages (Tensorflow, Pytorch) and deployment tools (Linux, GCP)
• Ideally some background in reinforcement learning and its application to robotics
• Preferably some background in physics simulation or game development
