Process intensification in the biopharmaceutical industry is gaining increasing interest over the last years. it aims at enhancing productivity and flexibility while minimizing costs and reducing the process footprint. This is achieved by implementing innovative equipment, methods, and strategies for integrated upstream and downstream processes.
The focus of this master thesis is the modeling, evaluation, and optimization of these intensified processes using the industry-standard software SuperPro Designer. You’ll work with experimental data, ensuring its consistency, and perform cost analyses as well as other process-relevant evaluations to bring our concepts to life.
By joining this project, you’ll have the chance to:

- Set Up of different processes using SuperPro Designer
- Implementation of experimental data
- Set Up of the process flow chart
- Evaluation of process data
- Cost evaluation & Comparison
This work can be done 100% remote. Additional lab work is possible.
