Bachelor and Master theses or short internships in insect ecology
21.11.2024, Diplomarbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten
We are looking for motivated students that love insects to be part of our team recreating food webs in grasslands and exploring overwintering in bees.
We are doing an insect sorting campaign where you can learn about taxonomy and the amazing diversity of insects in our grasslands. There is the possibility of doing small internships (minimum one month) or longer thesis exploring the effects of land or climate change on insect diversity. At the same time in other project we use chemical ecology to understand the metabolism of insects during overwintering. We work with data and samples, so there are many options to tailor the thesis to your taste and needs.
The theses are unpaid and for students from TUM or LMU. We offer an exciting working environment, time flexibility, plenty of opportunities to learn and get further training, social events and possibility to be part of publications. If you are interested in being part of this team, please send a letter of motivation, your CV and if you have any references to : Dr Alejandra Parreño, Alejandra.parreno@tum.de . Looking forward to hearing from you!
