This thesis focuses on understanding the emergence of healthy and unhealthy practices when people cook at home. Using social practice theory, the practices of choosing healthy over unhealthy ingredients and methods will be explored. By applying qualitative research techniques and doing interviews with people who frequently cook at home, the research focuses on the how and why of people’s cooking practices. The work will provide relevant insights into individual and family health promotion as well as public policy making.
