Candidates should hold an outstanding M.Sc. degree from an internationally renowned research institution and demonstrate a strong interest in research. A proven track record of scientific work, such as prior publications, is beneficial. We particularly value a solid theoretical foundation in ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด, ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—น, or ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜†, combined with ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€-๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ in working with robotic systems such as humanoids, autonomous vehicles, manipulators, or quadrupeds.

The PhD focuses on safe and reliable loco-manipulation for mobile and interactive robots such as humanoids. While learning-based methods enable advanced locomotion and manipulation, deploying them safely in real-world environments remains challenging.
