The TRR 352 "Mathematics of Many-Body Quantum Systems and Their Collective Phenomena" is a Collaborative Research Centre funded by the DFG. We currently invite applications for the following position:

Distinguished Postdoctoral Researcher Position (f, 100%)

The TRR 352 represents a successful collaboration between LMU Munich, Technical University of Munich, and the University of Tübingen, focusing on the investigation of the mathematical foundations and regularities of many-body quantum systems.

In alignment with our commitment to promoting gender equity in research, we are pleased to announce a distinguished postdoctoral position exclusively for female researchers. This initiative aims to enhance the representation of female scientists within our project, providing an exceptional opportunity for talented women to contribute to groundbreaking work in our research area.

About the Program: We are implementing a program that creates an additional two year postdoctoral position exclusively for female researchers working in any scientific field of the project. Our Principal investigators commit to hiring the postdoc on a 100% position for the two year period (for this call, the duration will initially be until the end of 2026, pending approval of a second funding period) and funding the salary 50:50 together with the TRR352.

Application Process: Please first contact one of our PIs in your field of expertise to obtain their commitment and support of your proposed individual research project.

Then submit the following documents as a single PDF file via email to the program manager, Anna Kellerer (anna.kellerer@math.lmu.de) stating Distinguished PostDoc in the subject line:
- CV (no photo), along with a list of the applicant's publications and presentations
- A brief research statement outlining the proposed project (authored by the applicant)
- A declaration from the hosting PI confirming commitment to funding the applicant for two years at 50%
- A letter of recommendation (not from the hosting PI)
