The selected candidate will join Prof. Svilenov's group at the TUM School of Life Sciences in Weihenstephan.
About Project
PicoBody is a 5-year ERC-funded project starting in January 2025. We will employ a multidisciplinary approach based on protein science, molecular biology, microbiology, machine learning, and lab automation. The project will establish key methods for the identification of natural picobodies with previously unknown functions, reveal basic insights about the fascinating bovine immune system and open new research directions into the discovery of very much needed new peptide drugs.
Your profile
- You have a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or similar
- Solid wet lab experience demonstrated during the PhD thesis
- Very good publication record
- Desire to work independently and to shape a new research field
- Desire to support and guide PhD students
- A problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to take over organizational responsibilities
