We have several 𝐏𝐡𝐃 & 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐃𝐨𝐜 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 in our Visual Computing & AI Lab in Munich! Topics have a strong focus on GenAI, including 3DGs, NeRFs, Diffusion Models, LLMs, etc.

PhD and PostDoc Positions in Visual Computing & AI

The Visual Computing & Artificial Intelligence Group at the Technical University of Munich is looking for highly motivated PhD students, interns, and PostDocs at the intersection of computer vision and machine learning. The positions are fully-funded with payments and benefits according to German public service positions (TV-L E13, 100% for PhDs and TV-L E14, 100% for PostDocs; 45k - 57k Euro / year + benefits). Topic / Area: The positions are flexible in terms of research direction within 3D vision and graphics with a heavy focus on cutting-edge deep learning-based techniques. We are particularly interested in static and dynamic 3D reconstruction, semantic scene understanding, and generative models for photo-realistic image / video synthesis. Overall, the main focus is on high-impact research with the aim to revolutionize the research field in 3D learning.

Research topics include: - Neural Rendering: 3DGS, NeRF, etc. - Generative AI: Diffusion, LLMs, GANs, etc. - 3D Reconstruction - SLAM / Pose Tracking (SfM, MVS) - Semantic 3D Scene Understanding - Face / Body Tracking, 3D Avatars - Non-Linear Optimization - Media Forensics / Fake News Detection
