07.12.2022, Wissenschaftliches Personal
The institute for communications engineering offers a position for a doctoral or young postdoctoral candidate with the topic “Communication and coding in quantum networks” (TV-L E13) (f/m/x) for the project "6G and Quantum Technology (6GQT)", which is being funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. ). The gross monthly remuneration in pay group TV-E 13 is in the range €4,074 - €5,873, depending on work experience and length of service.
In this project, the lower network layers and an associated integrated communication system are modeled using information theory. We wish to investigate how interleaving can reduce the overhead and computational load due to coding coefficients required in classical linear random network coding. The position is initially limited to four years and an extension is possible. The project already started at February 1st, 2022.
Content of the project and areas of responsibility
• Information-theoretical analysis of entanglement-supported classical communication,
• Encoding protocols for entanglement-assisted classical communication,
• Protocols for interleaving transmission in networks.
