It contributes to a wide spectrum of challenges related to accounting, e.g., financial accounting, managerial accounting, sustainability accounting, and tax accounting. The expected starting date is April 01, 2022 or later by mutual agreement. The position is limited to 36 months. An extension for another 12 months is possible.

About us
Founded in 2002, TUM School of Management is part of TUM, one of the leading technical universities in the world. TUM was one of the first universities in Germany to be named a University of Excellence. With its strong research environment and close ties to industry, the school constantly scores well in research and practitioner rakings. The TUM Campus Heilbronn is a dynamic setting whose goal is to achieve excellence in research, teaching, and societal impact.

We offer …
• the opportunity to gain scientific competences on how to conduct empirical research related to the most important global challenges (e.g., digital transformation and corporate sustainability) with a particular focus on the role of corporate communication in family enterprises,
• the freedom to conduct your own open-minded original research embedded in the interdisciplinary environment of the TUM School of Management,
• the possibility to improve your own organization and presentation skills and your normative knowledge by contributing to Bachelor and Master courses, and
• the chance to develop tight connections to the hidden champions of the Heilbronn-Franken region.

We look for a team player with …
• open-minded thinking about global economic, environmental, and societal challenges,
• completed Master’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, and/or management,
• excellent competences in at least one of the following fields of accounting: reporting in line with the German Commercial Code (HGB), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and/or Global Reporting Initiative (GRI),
• solid baseline competences in applied statistics and in standard software packages (e.g., STATA), and
• proved oral and written communication skills in English. German skills are an advantage but not a must.
