PhD Position (m/f/d), Design of multi-enzymatic complexes

We are looking to fill immediately a PhD position (m/f/d)in the subject area of Design of multi-enzymatic complexes. The research project and environment: The project is part of the Munich Multiscale Biofabrication Network (www.munich-biofab.de/). It combines development and application of microfluidic UHT screening systems for the design of multi-site, multi-activity biocatalytic complexes. The work will be performed at the Chair of Chemistry of Biogenic Resources at its laboratory at the Catalysis Research Center (www.crc.tum.de) at the Garching Campus in the North of Munich.

Your background
 Above average degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biotechnology or related sciences.
 In-depth knowledge of protein chemistry, molecular biology and microfluidics.
 Knowledge in organic chemistry, programming and lab automation is desired
 Curiosity and interest in scientific issues.
 High level of commitment as well as teamwork and communication skills.

We offer
 As a TUM doctoral student, you are automatically a member of the TUM Graduate School and benefit from an extensive qualification and continuing education program, funding for international travel, and target group-specific services and consulting.
 Remuneration is in accordance with TV-L, level 13 (65%), and the appointment is for three years.
 Severely disabled applicants will be given preference in the event of otherwise essentially equal suitability.
