Open PhD Position in the Area of Software Engineering

The chair of Software Engineering for Business Information Systems (sebis) at the Technical University of Munich is looking for an excellent candidate for a paid PhD position in the area of Natural Language Processing starting as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

  • Research & development projects in the area of Software Engineering. Possible areas of specialization include:
    • Web Application Engineering
    • Model-based Systems Engineering
    • AI for Software Engineering
    • Software Engineering for ML
    • Big Data Architectures
    • Cloud Architectures
  • Contribution to Software Engineering teaching on Bachelor’s and Master’s levels
  • Supervision of Bachelor and Master theses

Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field
  • Good theoretical knowledge and practical experience with Software Engineering in general and your desired field of specialization in particular
  • Motivation to build innovative solutions involving industrial partners
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead software development in distributed multicultural teams
  • Advanced English speaking and writing skills
  • At least intermediate German speaking and writing skills
