The chair of Supply and Value Chain Management at Campus Straubing is looking for post-docs and/or research assistants. Our current research projects deal with sustainable production and logistics concepts along the supply chain. Exemplary projects are minimization of food waste, digitization and integration of online and bricks-and-mortar retailing, transport planning and production planning in the food sector as well as the utilization of biogenic resources. In national and international cooperations with universities and companies, we work together on basic and application-oriented research projects using quantitative methods (management science, operations research and predictive analytics). We offer an international and interdisciplinary working environment at the Campus for Biotechnology and Sustainability. We are closely interlinked with the TUM School of Management.

Your tasks:
• Collaboration at the chair and performance of independent research with the objective of PhD or habilitation
• Participating in the publication of research results
• Participating in the teaching and supervision of students

Our requirements:
Outstanding university degree in business administration, business informatics, industrial engineering or business mathematics. Good knowledge of quantitative planning methods in the field of supply chain management, production and/or logistics and knowledge of optimization and simulation software are required. Experience in sustainable supply chain management, retail operations and/or service operations as well as a Business English language skills would be preferred.

We offer temporary part-time or full-time positions as research assistant or post-doc. You can expect an job with lots of personal responsibility and freedom. We offer flexible working hours and a pleasant working atmosphere within a dynamic team. You have the opportunity to work independently and set your own accents. The employment takes place with appropriate remuneration according to the collective agreement for the civil service (TV-L). The university aims to increase the proportion of women.
