PhD and PostDoc Positions in Visual Computing & Artificial Intelligence: we are looking for highly-motivated PhD students and PostDocs at the intersection of computer vision and machine learning. The positions are fully-funded with payments and benefits according to German public service positions (TV-L E13, 100% for PhDs and TV-L E14, 100% for PostDocs; 45k – 57k Euro / year + benefits). Topics include: Neural Rendering, 3D Reconstruction, SLAM / Pose Tracking, Semantic Scene Understanding, Face/Body Tracking, Non-Linear Optimization, Media Forensics / Fake News Detection

Topic / Area: The positions are flexible in terms of research direction within 3D vision with a heavy focus on cutting-edge deep learning-based techniques. We are particularly interested in static and dynamic 3D reconstruction, semantic scene understanding, and generative models for photo-realistic image/video synthesis. Overall, the main focus is on high-impact research with the aim to revolutionize the research field in 3D learning.
