We, the Chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (TUM), are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a position in Human-AI Interaction and Operations Management (75% TVL-E13), jointly supervised by faculty from University of Oxford and Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Project Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a position in Human-AI Interaction and Operations Management, jointly supervised by faculty from University of Oxford and Technical University of Munich (TUM). This project focuses on the integration of AI and human decision-making in operational settings, aiming to enhance performance and optimize decision processes. Collaboration opportunities with industry partners are available, providing a strong mix of academic and industry insights. The candidate will be expected to:
- Apply advanced analytical and AI methods to solve real-world operational challenges.
- Publish in leading journals and present research at conferences.
The PhD program has a duration of three years and with the PhD degree offered by TUM.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Operations Management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Management Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in AI, machine learning, or data analytics.
- Very good English skills in writing and communication
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R) and related software tools.
