News from ZA2 Personal

Lead times for hiring and Collective agreement signed with Marburger Bund physicians’ association

Lead times for hiring research and non-research staff and students as research assistants

The lead times for the processing and hiring procedures for research and non-research staff will be extended to six weeks effective immediately in order to ensure correct and timely processing through the HR department.

For future hires, please submit the fully completed hiring documents to the HR services unit of the HR department (ZA 2) responsible for your university location at least six weeks prior to the planned start of employment. (Munich: Referat 21 and Referat 22, Garching: Referat 23, Weihenstephan: Referat 24)

When hiring student research assistants, the fully completed documents must now be submitted to the responsible HR services unit at least three weeks prior to the planned start of employment.
As before, a four-month lead time remains in effect when requesting the extension of employment of research and non-research staff. This avoids the need to file a report with the Federal Employment Agency.

Notes and comments on the “Hiring of research staff” („Einstellung von wissenschaftlichem Personal“), the “Hiring of non-research staff” („Einstellung von „nichtwissenschaftlichem Personal“) and the “Hiring of student research assistants” („Einstellung von Studierenden mit wissenschaftlichen Hilfstätigkeiten“) can be found in the services Directory (Dienstleistungskompass).
