Fit for FUN – free time, university and normal life in Germany

Samstag 13.11.2010, 10:00 - 16:30

Vortragender
Corinna Cseh and Maria Nagy

Are you working at TUM and are you new in Munich? Living and researching in a foreign country is a great adventure! In November we invite you to a survival training that helps you to adapt to your new environment. You will get useful tips for working and living in Munich and Bavaria.

We offer a workshop which helps you to get insight in topics like:
  • What are the most important values in Germany at working places and in everyday life?
  • How to communicate with Germans at working places, at official places and in private life?
  • How to find access to the German society in Munich?
  • We can answer your concrete questions about everyday life in Munich (how to make life easier for the whole family, visiting a doctor, shopping possibilities, orientation at TUM, in the city, etc.)
The seminar has a workshop character and will lead you in a very interactive way to get closer to the Germans and the German society. The exchange of experience will be an important component.

We will invite you for lunch in a restaurant nearby.

When: November 13th, 2010, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Meeting Place: TUM, Arcisstr. 21, Kleiner Sitzungssaal
Language: The workshop will be in English.
Trainers: Corinna Cseh and Maria Nagy
Price: Free of charge, lunch will be provided
Deposit: 10 EUR per person (to be paid until November 9th, 2010)
Registration: By email to Wihi-winkler@zv.tum.de before November 1st, 2010

This event is part of the "CULTURAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL RESEARCHERS AND FRIENDS" organized by the TUM International Office:
The program that has been newly established was specifically designed for all international postdoc researchers, guest lecturers and professors as well as their partners and children. It is aimed at showing you a few more facets of TUM, Munich and Bavaria to help you to feel at home during your stay as well as facilitate the networking among each other and with your German counterparts. Therefore the program is open to everyone who wants to join and if you like and places are available you can also bring your friends along.
