MA/DA/BA: Visualization of management information in Cloud computing

Motivation: IT services are more and more outsourced to various service providers. A new trend here for is the so called Cloud Computing. In Cloud Computing environments parts of IT services are obtained by several Cloud Providers. The information systems or its data are then moved to the Cloud and they are accessed via internet afterwards.

The goal of this thesis is to support the Management of a IT service provider cooperation by providing adequate information through visualization means. A scenario of such a provider cooperation is the IT environment operated by TUM and the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum (LRZ). The LRZ offers IT services for TUM affiliates such as access to internet, storage facilities or VPN. For the IT Service Management of these services TUM has already established a tool (OTRS). This tool contains information of the interrelationship of IT services. Unfortunately, this information is stored in a database like structure only. This is why it is the goal of this thesis to integrate a separate visualization tool. For this a tool will be chosen together with the tutors (http://www.deepamehta.de/ or http://www.w3.org/2001/11/IsaViz/).
