Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing, assembling, and testing mechatronic systems and prototypes.
Support CAD modeling and 3D printing for prototyping.
Work with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and microcontrollers for embedded system development.
Assist in circuit design, PCB layout, and electronics prototyping.
Perform soldering, wiring, and integration of mechanical and electronic components.
Document design progress, test results, and technical findings.
Ensure lab safety and proper handling of equipment and tools.
Required Qualifications:
Current bachelors or master student in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with electrical circuits, sensors, actuators, and motor control.
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools (3D printing, laser cutting, soldering, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD).
Basic knowledge of microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi) and programming (Python, C++, or MATLAB).
Experience with robotics projects and automation applications.
Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System), or PLCs.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Due to remodeling, the lab is relocated in multiple locations: TUM Main Campus (60%) and campus Garching (40%). From WS 25 the location will be 100% in Main campus.
