Welcome to the media pages
Whenever the media report on something exciting connected with TU München (TUM), more often than not it is safe to assume that the Corporate Communications Center team was behind the news release.
We have offices on the three main campuses in Munich city center, Garching and Weihenstephan. We are the first port-of-call for journalists, employees and associates of the university.
Our main responsibilities:
We keep the general public up-to-date with any news about the research and tuition conducted at TU München and issue reports on the development of our university. We cater for journalists' needs, answer queries and arrange interviews between media representatives and the scientists and representatives of our university.

Counselling
We give advice and assistance to institutions and staff of TU München in matters related to media activities (press releases, press conferences).
Events
We organize events such as 'Dies Academicus', TUM's annual academic festival or university day held in December, the matriculation celebration for welcoming first-term students, or 'freshers', and the Children's University at TU München.
The historic archives
TUM's The historic archives have been in existence since 1997. In its role as a public archive it collects documents of lasting value connected with the history of TUM, which materialize as part of the practical academic and administrative routine of the university. The Historic Archives contain valuable collections of manuscripts and personal records, photographs and films covering the period from 1845-1991, currently amounting to approximately 1500 running meters.
