Hike Heimgarten & Herzogstand (not suitable for beginners)

Welcome to yet another TUMi hike.

We are going to take the train south to the Walchensee region. Both the Herzogstand and the Heimgarten mountains will both be covered. Very nice views are guaranteed.

Be aware that this hike is not suitable for beginners. It will cover an altitude difference of about 970 meters will be about 15.5 km long.

Some of the route will also be quite exposed on a mountain ridge. If you are afraid of hights this hike may not be suitable for you.

Please be aware that this is a mountain hike that involves being outside for the whole day and requires a decent amount of physcial fitness and suitable equipment. The trails will for the most part be unpaved as they are out in the nature.

It is not suitable for absolute beginners who have never been on a hiking trip.

Make sure you bring:
- enough drinking water (ca. 2 liters)
- food (lunch and some snacks)
- proper hiking shoes, as the path may be slippery. Sure-footedness is requiered on this hike!
- sunscreen
- a rain jacket
- good mood and motivation
