Alpine Hike: Around Oberammergau (not suitable for beginners). Route: Unterammergau - Teufelstättkopf - Pürschling - Oberammergau

We are going to take the train to Unterammergau and do a hike into the Ammergau Alps before taking the train back to Munich from Unterammmergau.

The hike itself will cover a distance of ca. 15 kilometers but involves an elevation difference of 900 meters one way (1800 meters in total). It will start at ca. 800 meters (Unterammergau), the hightest point will be at more than 1700 meters (Teufelsstättkopf). From here the way leads us us downhill to Oberammergau.

Please be aware that this is a mountain hike that involves being outside for the whole day and requires a decent amount of physcial fitness and suitable equipment. The trails will for the most part be unpaved as they are out in the nature.

It is not suitable for absolute beginners who have never been on a hiking trip.

Therefore, please bring the usual equipment for hiking, such as:
- comfortable trekking / hiking / trail shoes (not: the sneakers you wear in the city)
- sun protection
- rain protection (waterproof jacket)
- enough drinking water and some food to eat
- a backpack (not: rolling suitcase)
