Schliersee Hike

The Schliersee is located about 50 kilometers southeast of Munich, between Tegernseer Tal and Inntal, near the Austrian border in the Bavarian prealpine uplands. It is a popular destination for excursions and hikes. It is easy to reach and in contrast to next door's Tegernsee, it is less touristic. The Schliersee is surrounded by the mountains of the eastern part of the Mangfall Mountains, which you can climb. Most of the summits are easy to reach. However, there are also more demanding hiking trails, such as the Breitenstein and the Brecherspitz.

Please consider proper hiking shoes, rain wear and sufficient drinking water (~2 liters).
Also bring food for the joint picnic.
