Schleißheim: Planes & Castles

Are you looking for the perfect combination of technology and history? Join TUMi on a tour to Oberschleißheim. Oberschleißheim is located just a few S-Bahn minutes outside of Munich and home to two things: The branch of Deutsches Museum that displays air planes and also one of the major Baroque castles in Bavaria.

TUMi will visit both attractions that are only a short walk apart. The air plane museum is located at one of the oldest air fields in Germany that is still active (opened in 1912). The air crafts on display range from the early days of flight to the present day.

But Oberschleißheim is also famous of Schleißheim castle, once home to Bavaria’s ruling family the Wittelsbacher. We will not only visit the castle, but also take a stroll though the beautiful baroque park.
