The Benedictine Monastery is located on the holy Mountain above the Eastern shore of Lake Ammersee in the middle of Upper Bavaria’s Five-Lakes Region.
It has been a cherished destination for pilgrims for a long time now.
After a guided tour on monastery ground we have a satisfying meal at the "Bräustüberl" or the "Klostergasthof" with beer of the in-house brewery.
Comfortable shoes are recommended as the walk from Herrsching train station lasts one hour.
