The Alte, the Neue and the Pinakothek der Moderne form together with the Brandhorst Museum a unique art circle in Munich’s Maxvorstadt.
The Pinakothek der Moderne exhibits a fine overview of contemporary art, architecture and design from the 20th and 21st centuries. It simultaneously preserves the identity of an individual museums while also linking topics to the facets of a larger cultural field.
