The Concentration Camp Dachau, 20 km outside of Munich, was inaugurated only a few weeks after the Nazis took over the power in Germany in January 1933.
Concentration camps played a decisive role in the fast establishment of the Nazi dictatorship. Being one of the first camps it became a model for many camps to be established later. On a guided tour you will hear important facts about the everyday life in the camp, the camp prison by a certified guide. You also have the possibility to visit the gas chamber and the crematorium there.
