Berlin ist die deutsche Hauptstadt und mit 3,5 Millionen Einwohnernauch die größte Stadt landesweit. Sie hat sich zu einem Kultur- und Künstlerzentrum entwickelt; oft wird auch die Partyszene als herausragend bezeichnet. Da Berlin auch Sitz der Regierung ist, sind sämtliche Regierungsgebäude dort, wie der Reichstag und das Bundeskanzleramt. Die historische Berliner Mauer zeugt von der deutschen Teilung und heute von der Wiedervereinigung, einem der wichtigsten Ereignisse der jüngeren deutschen Geschichte.

Berlin is the capital and the largest city in Germany. Last but not least the parliament in the Reichstag-building and the seat of government of the chancellor are located there.
