Workshop/Round Table on European Innovation Council
Monday 24.09.2018, 17:00

20:00
Venue:
Brussels
The proposal for the next EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - Horizon Europe has recently been published by the European Commission and includes the idea to establish a European Innovation Council. Following the principles of the ERC (European Research Council), this new instrument aim to create more global innovation-driven start-ups from Europe and to attract highly
esteemed entrepreneurs to come and stay in Europe
A selected and diverse group of entrepreneurs associated with the member universities of the EuroTech Universities Alliance will be invited for an informal discussion on how the proposed EIC could best support the work of tough-tech entrepreneurs and thereby support the creation and scaleup of new industries on the European continent. The roundtable will provide a unique opportunity to exchange first hand with policy makers on the detailed benefits of the new instruments and how they could be implemented.
The Entrepreneurs will provide insights and views about the proposed instruments. Our hope is that member states alongside the Commission and policy advisors from the political parties in the European Parliament openly will be able to discuss these new instruments.
