German Egyptian Network for Advancing Genomic Medicine and Population health
An interdisciplinary Round Table & Workshop will be held from December 9-11, 2019 to highlight the advances in genomic medicine and its influence on personalised medicine and global health. The event-which is organized by the TUM Alumna Dr. Yasmine Aguib- will assemble leading experts in the fields of communicable and non-communicable diseases, genomics and bioinformatics to talk and brainstorm on collaborative ideas for the improvement of the disease burden in Africa and worldwide. Druing this event, Heba Afifi, TUM Cairo Officer will hold a presentation entitled Research Opportunities at TUM (December 10).

Climate Change in an African Context
TUM Alumna and Next Einstein Forum Fellow (NEF) Prof. Dr. Ghada Bassioni is chairing the NEF science expo and workshop on 15.-16.12.2019 on Climate Change in an African Context. The meeting will bring together invited speakers from academia, authorities and industry to communicate the latest developments of the role of science and engineering in contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular climate change, in Africa.
