TUM Alumni Veronika Riederle und Alex Popp - Demodesk
Experience TUM Start-ups firsthand and meet the alumni who founded the companies - this time Veronika Riederle: Co-Founder & CEO of Demodesk (in English)
On February 3rd, the TUM community will have the chance to get to know the Start-up – Demodesk and its co-founder and TUM alumna Veronika Riederle, up close and ask questions about the start-up and the company´s journey.
Demodesk, founded 2018 by the TUM alumni Veronika Riederle and Alex Popp, is an intelligent sales meeting platform.
Through coaching reps live, automating non-selling tasks, and reinforcing best practices, Demodesk helps customer-facing reps close more deals.
The platform is built upon our revolutionary screen sharing technology that uses collaborative virtual displays instead of recording the presenter’s local desktop screen. Demodesk gives customer-facing teams superpowers and enables more effective and engaging meetings.
The startup is a hybrid remote company, has offices in Munich and Lisbon and employs over 50 people.
Veronika studied Business and Engineering at TUM, CDTM and Columbia University of New York. After working at several startups during her studies, she joined a leading management consulting firm. She stayed there for 5 years, working in private equity, advising Fortune 500 companies in the US and Europe on sales and marketing strategies, leading various international teams. In 2018, Veronika left the company to start Demodesk with Alex Popp – the world's first intelligent online meeting platform for sales teams.
With Demodesk, they won the main prize of the 2018 German Startup Competition and were accepted to the world's most prestigious startup accelerator Y Combinator in 2019. To date, Demodesk has raised >€10 million venture financing.
Veronika is also involved as a mentor at TU Munich and CDTM and is a member of the extended board of Bundesverband Deutsche Startups to encourage more young talents to jump into entrepreneurship. With Demodesk, Veronika stands for a software solution and a corporate culture that prioritizes diversity, equal opportunities and sustainability.
