DESCRIPTION:The talk will address the recent date on the so-called “right to be forgotten” within a broader interpretation of the impact that information and communication technologies have on our selfunderstanding, on our social interactions, and on our conceptualization of the world. Prof. Luciano Floridi is Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford and Director at the Oxford Internet Institute. Recently, he was appointed as a member of the Google Advisory Council on the implementation of the “right to be forgotten”. His works have been translated into eleven languages, most recently: The Fourth Revolution: How the Infosphere is Reshaping Human Reality. Oxford University Press, 2014
