Questions such as “How are salaries discussed in a job interview in Germany?”, “When is the salary discussed?”, “What salary should I ask for?” will be dealt with. Contents of the workshop are: • Salary structures in Germany, models of remuneration (e.g. internships, working student, housing or transportation support, further training) • Overview of salaries in various industries in Germany • Researching salary ranges on the internet • Determining your „market value“ • Timing of salary negotiations • Preparing for salary negotiations: do’s and don’ts in Germany • Q&A session
