Symposium "Biomechanical Aspects and Application of Digital Human Models"
Donnerstag 05.07.2012, 13:00 - Freitag 06.07.2012, 15:45
In this symposium, several research approaches concerning biomechanical aspects of digital human modeling will be presented and discussed. The contents range from the simulation of forces and motions up to human-seat interaction or soft tissue behavior in the event of a crash. In workshops and lectures, visions, future developments, and the needs of industry will be presented and discussed in plenary.
Digital human models play an increasingly important role in the design of products and jobs. They are used in order to reduce the number of subjects and studies. Already in the virtual product development process, the characteristics and capabilities of future users can be simulated. Considering the demographic trend, in addition to cognitive characteristics, the physiological characteristics of users are crucial for product and workplace design.
This symposium will provide information about current developments and trends, and should identify future development possibilities for the modeling of biomechanical relationships and their applications together with experts from academia and industry.
Participation is free but we kindly ask you to register at Fabian Guenzkofer, guenzkofer@tum.de, before 20 June 2012. Coffee breaks and lunch are included. On Thursday evening, an optional dinner will be planned at Restaurant Rondell in Garching at your own cost. Please let us know whether you will attend this dinner.
